Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get to know me before you wedding day and become a little more comfortable in front of the camera. We can have abit of fun and take our time to create some relaxed images which you can use for your save the date cards, invitations or wedding website.
Locations! Picking a spot that means something to both of you for your couple photoshoot? It’ll make your pictures extra special and give them a touch of excitement. Take a moment to think about your journey as a couple. If you happened to meet at a cozy coffee shop, why not kick off the shoot there with a latte? The location you choose can bring a burst of color, texture, lines, and natural light to your photos, making them truly standout!
Natural Locations: like open fields and trees, are beautiful locations for photoshoots. They provide a great environment for playing and capturing meaningful moments. The best time to shoot in fields is right before sunset, as the golden light creates a magical atmosphere.
Urban Locations: are cool alleys covered in street art murals and buildings. They have great colour, texture and variety. We can shoot in urban spots at pretty much any time of day, since there’s lots of great shade.
What to wear?
Choose colors that go well together and stick to a unified palette. Opt for colors instead of just black and white, as they add vibrancy to your photos. Make sure your outfits have similar tones and lay them out to see if they complement each other
Avoid heavily labelled clothing and keep it simple so your images will look timeless.
Whatever you choose to wear, make sure you feel amazing!
Want to look and feel amazing for your engagement shoot? Consider going pro with hair and makeup. Schedule a salon blowout or tie it in with your wedding hair/makeup trials. If you’re going DIY, take a bit more time and go for a slightly enhanced natural look, as makeup tends to tone down in photos
Also it may be worth bringing along a hairbrush with some lip gloss and a small mirror in case you need to do some touch-ups during our session. One last thing, everyone is going to want to see the ring! So maybe you want to treat yourself to a manicure.
